UWP: RAOUL CAPREZ

Raoul Caprez was born in Switzerland in 1972.

As a biology teacher, he was firstly interested in taking identification pictures, then he changed his habits, trying to pass on a message or an emotion through his pictures.

His interest for photography started at the same time as his passion for diving, which pushed him to become an Open Water Scuba Instructor and an Underwater Photography Instructor.

Photography has almost become more than a hobby. In August 2008, he started entering his first pictures in the most famous online underwater photography contest, with good results. Since March 2011, he has become the second member of the "photo critics" team for this contest.

In 2012, a few images he took were selected in the Edition Fifty Fathoms (the Editions celebrates the art of watchmaking and the art of underwater photography).

Since Autumn 2012, he has been part of the jury for the Festisub contest. At the same time, he has been asked to hold conferences about freshwater environment.
