UWP: TOMAS KOTOUC

Tomas Kotouc lives in Jindrichuv Hradec, Czech Republic. He start diving in 1994 and in 2003 became OWSI and opened his own diving business mostly focused on travelling. Underwater photography logically came to be part of the job, but still a huge hobby as well. In the time being he use Nikon D7000 and strobes Ikelite DS-161 .

Tomas is focused on marine life more than wrecks and caves and dived almost all principal destinations like Galapagos, Cocos Island, Malpelo, Raja Ampat, Komodo, South Africa, Mozambique, Sudan, Papua New Guinea, Azores, Palau, Andaman Islands, Cuba, Borneo and also peninsula Valdes in Argentina. Difficult to say, but Tomas vote Malpelo as destination where he did the best dives in his life, especially for the richest shark appearance with species like scalloped hammerhead, galapagos shark, silky shark, whale shark and smalltooth tiger shark.

His work is issued in several diving and geographic magazines in Czech and also in National Geographic magazine. In 2010 he became Czech Champion of underwater photography.
