UWP: DAVID KEARNES























David Kearnes is a Hawaii based wildlife photographer. Born in Spain and having lived in the UK, the U.S. and in Australia, he has called Hawaii his home for 22 years. His photo education started in England with cinematography and continued to college where he learned advanced photo processes. In 1996 he combined photography with his love of the ocean and bought his first underwater camera. He co-founded the Kona Underwater Photo Society (www.kups.org) with two friends shortly thereafter. Published work can be found in books, magazines, calendars and the web, and professional photo gigs include movies and television productions. He is also a digital image archive specialist, creating and maintaining digital image libraries for other professional photographers.
